Feathered Fishes 4

My work often plays with the idea of hybrids, whether visually or conceptually, culturally or historically. This creature, somewhere between a bird and a fish, is a visual hybrid above all else: I love how fish scales look like feathers in so many ways, and vice versa. Despite differences in just about everything else-- color, texture, where they thrive (air versus water)-- fish scales and feathers share an essential underlying geometric form.

Printed on 100lb felt, a textured paper that mimics the watercolor paper of the original painting. 8x10", un-matted, and ready for a standard-size frame, available at any major craft store.
